A real lens flare! Oh my.

Greetings from.. well, back from Mono County, California. This weekend was full of exciting views like this from Ellery Lake at 9462ft. Clean air, beautiful sunlit ridges and some amazingly talkative black-and-white birds of a type whose names elude me at the moment. If you want to see them for yourself: Go to this lake, lie down on the grass, and I’m sure they will come. It worked for me.
