Banners.
September 12th, 2006Not to out do myself or anything but I was just reminded I had some nifty banners from Pascal Klein. Thank you Pascal. He designed this site and has been a big help from before the trip.

Citizen media at its best.
September 11th, 2006Today marks the 5th anniversary of the World Trade Center attacks. I’m not one to get very sentimental about the past but a digg article pointed to amazing footage taken from an apartment near the towers. This is what I’m fighting for, citizen media. Check it out here, http://www.revver.com/view.php?id=59686 . Its tough to watch but must be appreciated.
Pre-Big Trip Videos.
September 1st, 2006I’ve been giving the video from the road trip lots of attention lately. However, there is plenty of great content from before the trip. Here are thumbnails from all of the interviews videotaped before the long road trip. Much of it is not done at the quality level that the video from the big trip but the content is just as good. Enjoy.
An update.
August 30th, 2006Its been about 5 weeks and its time for quick update. Since the conclusion of the trip we’ve done a number of things. Brandon and I continued on to be closer friends than we ever had been. Yes we had our issues but we’re old enough to handle them. I’ve managed to get up ogg theoras of all of the videos from the trip. I’ve also captured all of the road video. This is good because the video camera is going to Alaska with my parents in less than a week.
Two or three weeks after the trip we got an offer from our friends at Road Trip Nation for them to purchase some of our footage. Unfortunately the contracts they had specified that they needed ownership of all the content. Brandon and I decided to pass up the money knowing that the footage we collected is worth more. Every last bit of uhhs and fan noise is worth something. Our footage is too good to have some be locked in a vault. Help us realize the potential of our hard work.
Digg
August 1st, 2006Give us a hand getting more exposure. Digg us!
The interviews are up.
July 30th, 2006Well, all of the interviews from the trip are up. They are all low-quality ogg theora files. They range from 50 mb to 350 mb. Eventually there will also be high quality oggs and dv files. Thanks to everyone involved in these interviews. Below are thumbnails and links to each. Most are completely raw, a couple have been roughly edited upon the request of the subject.
Please remember that each is made available under the Creative Commons by-sa v. 2.5. Please give credit to Scott Shawcroft, Brandon Hines and the subject(s) of the interview.
